Gluttony

In 1987, Harper's Magazine asked leading Madison Avenue advertising firms to develop ad campaigns promoting the Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath, Lust, Greed, Gluttony, Sloth, Envy, and Pride. Each agency pitted in-house teams against one another to help audiences appreciate the lure of these infamous temptations.

 

In my Creativity in Advertising course, we were tasked with the same challenge: to create teams and begin sinning with 3 ads.

​

My team understood “Gluttony” to be heavily associated with shame about body image and lack of self control. Rather than making audiences feel ashamed to indulge, we want to make them feel empowered. This is our attempt at empowering our audience to be gluttonous.

 

It's not a full campaign, just fun with words and art direction!
